Hi, I'm Nalia Barkman of Flying Rowan Design, and I have 10 years of experience as a graphic artist, designing logos, web sites, layout for print media, and illustrations for children's books and magazines. I've worked to create unique visual identities for small businesses, artists, non-profit organizations and grassroots collectives, helping people to communicate their message with clear and effective design. After graduating with honours from the Advertising Art Program at Red River College, I worked as a designer and illustrator for TS Design Associates, a graphics business based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. I have worked in partnership with Progressive Web Design on internet projects, such as an online exhibit for the Virtual Museum of Canada, funded by a grant from the Canadian Heritage Information Network. I am now based on a small island off the west coast of British Columbia, where I run my own home-based business.
